Sorry I didn´t write something this week but it has been crazy here. Last weekend we had an orientation camp for exchange students who arrived in our area in the past month, so Aussies, South Africans and Kiwis. It was good fun seeing the Aussies again and meeting the others. On Monday morning I drove with my host mum and another Aussies (Mat, Rotary Club of Maroochydore) who is staying with us for 2 weeks to my host mums home town, Garça. Its a really nice small city. I had my first churrasco and also visited their farm. We tried some of the local fruits and also saw rubber trees and many coffee trees which are/were Brasil´s primary commodoties.
Friday marks the start of Carnaval here in Brasil. Mat and I will be dancing in the first samba school to parade down the Sambadromo in Sao Paulo. This is part of the main competition and will be watched by all of Brasil. So look out for me on TV!!!! After this we will travel to a small city called Caconde famous for its Carnaval celebrations and street parties. So you will have to wait until the next week to see photos as time for emailing will be scarce until Carnaval has finished.
I looked but I couldnt see you Tom, only lots of half naked women!!!!
